Registration

- Purchase the Provisional Registration Forms by making payment through Rema to ARCON.
- Thereafter, take the Remita Receipt to ARCON Abuja or Lagos Office to obtain the Forms.
Applicants will be given the required assistance on how the Forms can be completed.
The applicant must be of Nigerian Origin, and must have obtained their First Degrees, Second Degrees and NYSC discharge certificates from ARCON/NUC accredited Universities.
If you are of Nigerian Origin with a foreign Degree (1st and Second Degree) can also apply.

However, the applicant must have written a Formal letter giving the Council the permission to request for his/her transcript from the School attended and also checking with the country of schools origin to know if the school is recognized by the Architects Governing Body.
The Forms can be submitted to either Abuja office or Lagos office.
Your documents can be sited by a council member ONLY.

You cannot apply until all Certificates of academic credentials have been obtained.
The breakdown of the cost of forms is as follows
Student Form: N1,000.00
Provisional Stage I Form: N4,000.00
Provisional Stage II Form: N5,000.00
Full Registration Form: N10,000.00
Only Registered Architects can apply for Firm Registration Forms.
The Firm Registration Form cost N20,000.00.

Education

Visit the Check Accreditation page to find out if your school is accredited.
No. Logbook is no longer applicable
Only if the foreign degree is verified by ARCON.
You write to ARCON to verify your degree, after a request for transcript has been made by the applicant.
No. Seminars and programs you can subscribe to have been designed to prepare you for the exams.
Please contact ARCON office for further clarification.
No. You have to be a citizen of Nigeria to get an ARCON License.

Portal

As you already have an ARCON number, you only need to reactivate your account.
To register with ARCON, purchase the registration forms from any of our offices
You will need jpeg formats of your passport photograph and your signature for the account reclaim process, and if you are reclaiming your firm account, you will need your Firm registration certificate.
Please Note: Architects who want to reclaim their firm account will need a different email and phone number for firm reclaim.

APRN

ARCON Project Registration Number (APRN), and it is a mandatory registration number issued to all architects practicing in Nigeria, for each of their projects, to certify that these projects are being executed by Nigerian citizens, who are fully registered and financially current architects
Only fully registered and financially current architects and firms are eligible to prepare, produce and submit architectural building plans for approvals/ implementation
You can get stamps from any of our offices after you must have made payments for them through Remita. Please present a copy of the payment receipt for the stamps at the office.

Payments

Your financial status is displayed on your dashboard when you sign into your account on the portal.
Once you are signed into your account on the portal, your license fee for the year will be displayed on the screen, which may also include other outstanding payments.
In cases of wrong financial record on your account, please send a mail to the Finance Dept. attaching receipts as evidence to clarify your financial status.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR

THE REGISTRATION OF ARCHITECTS

The qualifications obtained from any of the institutions specified in this paragraph shall qualify an architect for registration by the Council, that is –

A degree or diploma awarded after a minimum of 5 years full time course from any of the Nigerian Universities or Colleges approved by the Council;
Any Commonwealth Association of Architects recognized schools;
Any foreign schools which have produced accepted Nigerian Architects; and
Such other qualifications as may be approved, from time to time, by the Council. Download the guideline to read more
